Rogers Mesa Modern Woman's Club 31014 Hwy 92 PO Box 274 Hotchkiss CO 81419 970-835-7600 Rogers Mesa Modern Woman's Club was formed in 1907 to provide a social and cultural outlet for the women of Rogers Mesa. The Hurst Elementary School became vacant in 1925 and negotiations began to lease the building as a clubhouse. By 1928 the building became known as "Rogers Mesa Community House". In 1943, a Nickelodeon (jukebox) was purchased and the community enjoyed roller-skating in the clubhouse for many years. The Hurst Schoolhouse and one acre of land was deeded to the Club in 1963. Currently the community house is rented out to the public for meetings and parties. Twice a year the Club has a fundraiser to help raise funds to cover the cost of maintenance and repairs. Also, the Club has monthly meetings at the Club House on the second Thursday of the month, interested members of the community are welcome to attend. We rent out the Club House for meetings and events, starting at $25 for the first 4 hours.
